A: Each visit is 1/2 hour unless a longer visit is requested. Typically the walk is about 20-25 minutes . The rest of the time is spent getting the dog on and off leash, refilling water and or food if requested , and writing a note of daily activity. Q: How much experience do you have, and with what type of dogs? A: I have been walking dogs for 2 1/2 years total, full time since December 06. During this time I've worked with dogs that weighed in over 140 pounds to little 5 pound dogs who would fit in your pocket . Q Are you Insured? A: Yes! The very first thing I did when I started walking even just a few dogs was to get insured . I used to go through a pet sitters association , but now am currently insured through Mourer Foster, Inc., Kennel Pro pet sitters program / CNA Insurance Company . I carry a higher level of coverage than the standard policy. I have never had to file a cliam but I'm sure glad I have the right amount of coverage.
A: I will ask you if this is something you want to have happen . If your dog can't walk with other dogs for any reason I will respect that and will never attempt to walk them with another dog. However, If you want your dog to be walked with others then I make I will sure that they are placed with a dog that is a good match for them. As for off leash play groups the simple answer is no. Dogs love to be off leash and play, but unless it's in a fenced in area I don't feel it's safe to just take the dogs to a park and set them loose. There are too many things that could go wrong and I'd rather not take the chance . |
