| With all the dog walking and pet sitting services in Mass, and in particular the greater Boston area it's important to find out as much information as possible about a dog walking business, and their approach before hiring them to care for your pet. My approach when working with animals is one of patience and respect. Every animal has their own needs and I like to take the time to get to know your pet and learn what approach will work best for him or her. I am not claiming to be a certified trainer, but I have learned a few tips along the way which I'm happy to share with you. I have found that consistency is the most important thing when working with dog and especially puppies. Prior to beginning daily walks with your dog I will sit down with you to find out what training techniques/ commands you are working with so we will all be on the same page and doing the same things. I will also leave a note of daily activities and things we worked on. - I do ask for a copy of your pets current vaccinations .
- I'll accomodate special requests and schedules as the schedule allows.

Welcome to Greater Boston Dog walking and Pet Sitting My Profile My journey has been an interesting one. Prior to starting my pet care business , I worked in Human Services and to be honest I thought I would always be in that field; I worked with the homeless population in shelter settings and also in health centers doing HIV health education. It was important work, but did not always pay the bills, so to supplement my income I had a few dogs that I walked. I have always loved animals from a young age, so to have the opportunity to combine two things I loved was a great balance for me . In December, 2006 I found myself at a crossroad and forced to make a decision to either stay in my field, or try dog walking full time. I took a deep breath, and on December 5th, 2006 left my job. Where I've ended up is better than I could have imagined. Life is funny ! I never would have planned this for myself, but now here I am. I have never been more physically exhausted at the end of the day, but I've never been happier either. I feel very fortunate to have great clients who have supported me along the way, and awesome dogs that I get to hang out with . Lastly, I'm thankful that I've been led into an new line of work which combines my love of animals with my desire to help people. I may not make millions as a dog walker, but I have a job that I love and it does not get any better than that. While most of my clients live in the Melrose, Malden, Chelsea areas I'm open to considering clients in other areas provided they live in the general area. I know I've written mostly about dog walking but you should know I also make a great cat, fish, bird and other furry friend sitter.
